Trussville is a city in Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. At the 2000 census, the population was 14,143. According to the 2010 census the Trussville population grew to 28,696. The city is a part of the Birmingham metropolitan area and is included as a part of the Birmingham-Hoover combined statistical area.

Trussville is known for its tree-lined neighborhoods and easy access to Birmingham. It has one of the lowest crime rates among cities in the state, a blessing attributed to its small-town feel. Trussville is bordered by Irondale, Clay, Pinson, Center Point, and Clay -Trussville High School. The city was incorporated as Hayden Station in 1873 after the coming of the Railroad. The city was named for W. E. Truss, who owned land on Shades Mountain and incorporated Trussville in 1893. Interstate 65 via Clay-Trussville Road provides a quick commute to downtown Birmingham or Montgomery, while Hwy 11/50 is the main artery to many subdivisions in the city.

The Trussville City Schools mascot is the Tiger and the school colors are blue and orange. The local high school football team plays at Tom Bradford Field which was recently renovated with a new state-of-the-art artificial turf surface at a cost of $1.2 million.
