The people of Springville, Alabama are friendly and will go out of their way to help those that they can. Unfortunately, there aren’t many attractions to see or museums to visit. The town doesn’t like receiving visitors and residents prefer the quiet life without the hassle of having to take care of tourists.
What’s Near Springville, AL
There are few things near Springville, Alabama. The closest major city is Huntsville which has a population of over 180,000 people with countless attractions to visit. There are also several businesses in the area that call themselves “Springville” but aren’t actually located within the city limits.
Like many other very small towns and unincorporated areas in this region, they are very small communities that rely on the much larger Huntsville for their survival.
The nearest big city is Hunstville, AL, which is known for its art scene as well as being the home of NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. There are countless museums, galleries, and restaurants in Huntsville that can entertain visitors for days.
The town of Harvest is also just a few miles north of Springville on Highway 79. It’s a medium-sized farming community with a population of around 20,000 people. There is no entertainment to speak of in Harvest except for the oddball game held at the Harvest High School.
There’s a small community called Jones Valley just south of Springville, Alabama off of Highway 53 which is known for being the location where local governments approve new subdivisions. They have been trying to promote themselves as a bedroom community for Huntsville but it hasn’t had much success yet.
